About the Teacher-Librarian:
Welcome to the LES library website! I’m Ms. Taylor and I grew up in the Lakewood area. I hold a BA in International Studies with a minor in Business and Spanish from Southwest Texas State University (aka Texas State), and I received my Masters in Library Science from Sam Houston State University. I earned my EC-6 Texas teaching certificate in 2001. Before I was a librarian, I taught first grade, third grade, and art for a total of 8 years of experience in public schools before becoming a librarian. I have been a teacher-librarian since 2011 and I LOVE my job!
I have two daughters and one son. I’m an artist and a book and movie enthusiast. I enjoy scrapbooking, creating home decor, roller-blading, and spending time with my family. I am very excited to be a part of Lakewood Elementary school. This is an amazing place to be.

Birthday Book Club (Aug. & Sept. birthdays) Moved to Thursday
If you signed your student up for birthday book club, I have moved the party from Wednesday September 26th to Thursday September 27th. This party is for August and September birthdays. The party happens during the school day.
