About the Teacher-Librarian:

Welcome to the LES library website!  I’m Ms. Taylor and I grew up in the Lakewood area. I hold a BA in International Studies with a minor in Business and Spanish from Southwest Texas State University (aka Texas State), and I received my Masters in Library Science from Sam Houston State University. I earned my EC-6 Texas teaching certificate in 2001. Before I was a librarian, I taught first grade, third grade, and art for a total of 13 years of experience in public schools.  This is my 5th year to be a librarian and I LOVE my job!

I have two daughters and one son.  I’m an artist and a book and movie enthusiast.  I enjoy scrap-booking, creating home decor, roller-blading, and spending time with my family. I am very excited to be a part of Lakewood Elementary school. This is an amazing place to be.

About our Library Assistant:

Beth Walker is an amazing addition to our Library.  She loves helping our students and goes above and beyond. Come in and say hello to her. Beth is an Aggie and has children that attend Lakewood Elementary.
