Welcome to the

Lakewood Elementary Library!

We see all students once a week for a lesson and then they have the opportunity to check out books. Generally after a lesson and check-out, students will visit different stations to practice skills that may include word work, technology, library skills, poetry, shelving, math, science, coding, stop-motion videos, engineering activities, plus much more.

All books are due the morning of your student's class library day but the books may be renewed. Please note, if a student checks out a library book on a day other than their grade level checkout day, their book(s) due date is based on the date the book was checked out, not the grade level library day.

Number of books allowed for checkout.

Ø  Pre-K students may check out 1 book for classroom use.

Ø  Kindergarten students may check out 1 book.

Ø  First grade students may check out 1 book.

Ø  Second, Third, and 4th grade students may check out up to 2 books.

** Payment for lost books will not be accepted until 30 days past the due date.  Lost or damaged books must be paid for at the replacement cost. The library only accepts checks in the exact amount of the payment due. Refunds will be made to students if the lost book is returned in good condition during the school year in which it was paid.  The last day for a refund is May 15, 2017.
